The friendship that fell apart

by Erica   Jan 25, 2006

Friends are supposed to be there for one another
But when i arrived you pushed me to the gutter.
I want you to confide in me
And really all you do is swat me like a helpless bee.

You fell in with the wrong crowd.
I talk to you about it and all you do is get loud.
I talk to you about your careless ways
And all you do is hold a grudge.
But once in a while every friend needs a little nudge.

I care for you, I'm there for you.
Maybe I'm acting like an overprotective parent,
Telling you to stop what youre doing
But the only so called steady
Point in your life right now is losing.

I need the old you back
To get your life on track.
And please do me a favor
When i wanna look out for you,
Don't stomp back.
