Suicide of Dominic

Another life cut short
no laughs,snickers, or snorts
for Dominic brown lay dead
b/c to depression he was led

another life is gone
it all seems so wrong
so many are effected
but why was he selected

why must people die
and make others cry
to prove society has a problem
but suicides wont stop them

sometimes existing is worse than death
but after this tragedy what is left
i don't understand why it had to happen this way
he seemed so happy just yesterday

but his sadness was an internal battle
now out has gone his life's candle
he went down fighting himself, i am for sure
but Dominic brown we will always remember

    I agree with "lonelnow" this really is a heartfelt poem and sadlly its a reflection of society and how someone has to die for people to listen

    Hey, I just wanted to say thanks for your comment on my poems, I really enjoyed and appreciated them - and here I am to return the favour just as I should. This poem is really sad, and I love how you gave your character a name, I have never been able to pull that off without having it sound like I tried too hard lol, but you did it and made itlook easy. You also had a good rhyme scheme that was rather easy to follow. Great job!
