What have we become?

What have we turned into,
Practically enemies.
Why have we fallen so far,
From what we used to be?
I just can't stand to look at you,
And know that you don't care
I can't stand to be around,
When you'd rather be with her.
I can't tell you what hurts more,..
Is it knowing that i care,
or that you never could,
Either way its painful,
And nothings ever good.

What have we become?
Best friends,
no more,
the necklace that i wear,
into my heart,
it has tore.
A reminder it plays,
Of a sorrowful good bye
And tears down my face,
play the twinkle in her eye.

What have we become?
A distant hello,
I can barely force a smile,
I can never let go.
