My daddy told me he wouldn't leave
but he deceived me.
He lied to me.
He left me,
left me with bruises that cannot heal
a cut that will not seal.
Just won't let me go,
he would say.
May he stay were he is
until he learns his lesson.
He left me and my sister
to blister in the corner
While he left us,
he and his girlfriend.
Now he tells me he loves me.
