Slipping Away

I can feel,
you slipping,
away from me.

As I lose,
your heart, and,
your memory.

Though I try,
to keep them,
all within me.

They escape,
from my clouds,
of reverie.

I can feel,
you slipping,
away from me.

I'm fading,
from your mind.
Out of your dreams.

Though I chase
all the hopes,
that I held tight.

They flicker.
Fading till,
they're out of sight.

I can feel,
you slipping,
away from me.

Living life
lost in lust,
and fantasy.

Never knowing,
what you've lost,
till it's too late.

I'll pray that,
your soul lives,
it does not break.

I can feel,
you slipping,
away from me.

This is quite old. Lots of people have complained about the stanzas. But whenever I change them to make them longer it doesn't sound the way I want it too. Smeh, go figure. :P.

    This poem is perfectly fine the way it is....I like it, very good.Great emotion and I really like the way the stanzas are written...really adds to my liking..hope to read more of yours.

    Wow...this was really good, seriously. i love the way the stanzas are, there should be no complaints! also, you dont know how many times i've felt this way before...i just never found a way to express it the way u did. beautiful job. by the way, thanks for your comments too, i'm glad you understood my poems (they can be confusing at times).

    Hey.. this is quite good.. and i aint complaining bout the stanzas.. i lyk em the way they are.. in fact, a v big part of the reason i lyk the poem is coz the stanzas are in their own unique style.. i also lyk u repeating the "I can feel you slipping away from me" part.. added to the feel and emotion of the piece.. gr8 job
