Subtle or Contrasting.

by Steven Beesley   Jan 27, 2006

Subtle or Contrasting:

Can things be as they appear?
Are they different for you and me?
How do you measure and to what degree
is beauty fair for all that see?

Colors may appear different,
in different light.
Nothing is completely black or white,
varying shades of gray fade and pale.

What may seem wrong,
could well be right.
Subtle or contrasting,
are such intrinsic valuations.

Summer with long days
and it's short nights.
Come winter and the
reverse will appear to be.

Reality or the sublime,
perceptions different for
each single mind.
But what is it to thee?

Superficial or hardcore reality?
Where is the bottom line,
how do we each take stock,
is the same true for you as it is for me?

Very true!! I agree with Simon very deep read. It touches on the boundaries of the unknown for me, I guess how I like it to be.
