Wings of Black

by Olliver Kahle   Jan 27, 2006

Fallen angel from the sky, sadder than the last goodbye,
With tears of blood and wings of black
Forgotten love that won’t come back

But who will hear you now?, who will dry your tears now?
What will become of your tears?, the blood that you cry?

Fallen angel from sky, sadder than the last goodbye,
In silence you weep, in seclusion you scream,
Your fall from grace so unfair, your love denied,

But what will become of you? Who will take you in?
Who will give you your last rites? Who will give you life?

Fallen angel from the sky, sadder than the last goodbye,
With tears of blood and wings of black,
Forgotten love that won’t come back,

I will weep for your fall, I will dry the tears in your eyes,
I will taste the blood you spill, I will hold your hand through this,
I will listen to your pain, I will give you life, in this land of the dead.

Its a really good poem! i'm loving the strong imagery you've created there, but i think that the rhyme makes it a bit sing-songy which doesnt match the context of the poem.

    but i loved it anyway!
