My Angel

by Coleman   Jan 27, 2006

As I walk down by this dreary town,
I look to my back but nothing is found,
I hoped to look back and see you there,
Since your not at my side I have become scared,
I walk impatiently back and forth,
Trying to figure out what love is worth,
Is it worth the sun which shines on my face,
Or is it worth the moon and how it embraced,
The time we shared when we were one breath,
When we were together I would laugh at the face of death,
But now death torments me with every bloody cut,
The knife is not in his hand but mine and coming for my gut,
I'll let out my pain before its to late,
I'll let out my anger and open the gates,
of hell in my heart.
So as I kill and hurt others as i hurt you,
It is not me but the demons that do,
These evil deeds to others and myself,
But I'll never touch you My Angel, I swear on my health,
But before I diminish and leave this town,
I look ahead and there you are to be found,
How darkened with rage I've gotten,
Only to remember what I've forgotten,
That you walked ahead to lead my way,
I hope you forgive me my Angel I pray.
The blood I shed was out of forgotten rage,
But now my Angel I'm over that stage.
