Half past ten

I should be in bed,
Its awfully late,
But just for you,
I sneak out the gate,
Can hardly wait,
To see you again,
As I climb out the window,
Its half past ten,
Out of the window,
And around the block,
Minutes tick by,
On that awful clock,
I pass the lamp post,
Creep along the street,
The night air is crisp,
On my guilty feet,
I pass the neighbors,
The lights snap on,
But I just ignore it,
And journey on,
Just one more corner,
Till I see your face,
My breathings heavy,
My thoughts erase,
Around the bend I head,
To face my fear,
I look around,
But your not there,
A snapping twig,
You dont emerge,
Theres a line to insanity,
Im on the verge,
My nerves set in,
Im now a mess,
Waiting, waiting,
Cant take the stress,
Your not coming,
My thoughts deduce,
I go to stand,
But the soil is loose,
I lose my footing,
Tumble to the ground,
Then stand up,
And turn around,
Its half past ten,
I have to go,
No point in staying,
If you wont show,
I hurry back,
Tears sting my eyes,
Somewhere in the distance,
Someone cries,
I just cant take it,
I start to run,
Then I stand stock still,
As I hear the gun,
I turn then head back,
To our place,
Of you or the bullet,
There is no trace,
Sirens sound,
The torches blind,
As the people swarm,
Your message I find,
I quickly pocket,
The blood smeared note,
And run back home,
With gagging throat,
I fight the tears,
As I read the letter,
And with each word,
It just gets better,
Now your gone for good,
Its no surprise,
You left me here,
With scribbled goodbyes,
But Im one step ahead,
In your stupid game,
As Ive already decided,
To do the same,
You may have got a head start,
Though its hard to tell,
But tonight were even,
As I leave as well,
Its half past ten,
This coldly night,
As our wicked souls,
At last take flight,
Its half past ten,
And Im awfully late,
To meet you in hell,
For one last date.
