With the angels

by Jessica   Jan 28, 2006

A little girl dressed in red, white and blue,
Was getting ready for school,
To teach the children something they never knew.

Her daddy was an army man,
And it was soon time to fight,
When Mr.President can on T.V. with a plan.

She marched of to class that day ready to tell,
With mommy holding her hand,
She told story she knew to well.

She said my daddy is with the angel's now,
Because he chose to fight,
He tried to save us from the bad people and let me tell you how.

My daddy went away about a year ago,
My mommy and I cried,
But daddy still had to go.

Mr. President couldn't promise a safe return,
So that's why I'm shairing this,
A lesson for you all to learn.

My daddy will see me grow up,
Although he isn't here,
For he is with the angel's now but still it's not enough.

Mr. President sent us a letter,
Telling us daddy had died,
And he hoped we'd feel much better.

So please take a minute to sit and pray,
Because of the war,
My daddy can't be here today.

Mommy and I miss him so much,
I'm just a little girl,
I fear I'll forget who daddy was.

But daddy will be in my heart,
Forever til my death,
Because I know daddy is with the angel's he has been here from the start.
