Angels They'll Become

by just PeAcHeY   Jan 29, 2006

And angels they’ll become

An angel they’ll become,
All the little ones.
A heart so small and full of joy,
And angels they’ll become.

Their little hands,
and little feet.
A mind full of faith,
And angels they’ll become.

A world of hope in their reach,
And a beating fathers hand.
A mother too drunk to care,
And angels they’ll become.

The only thing they’ve ever known,
Has come crashing down.
They had only got him a little mad,
And angel they’ll become.

The night was filled with sounds of rage,
The neighbors- they could hear.
But none of them did anything to help,
And angels they’ll become.

The children screamed from the pain,
Which only made things worse.
Their head held high and strong,
And angels they’ll become.

The welts on their backs were bleeding,
The scars were bright red.
In their faces you could see their pain,
And angels they'll become.

The blood was pooling in the floor,
Joining with their tears.
With every hit they made a scream,
And angels they’ll become.

Their father got so angry,
It was only a little dent.
His belt was pressed up to their back,
And angels they’ll become.

The screams had become a roar,
Yet the neighbors stayed in bed.
They didn’t seem to care about,
The angels they’d become.

Their father was in a fit of rage,
The leather in his hand.
Some perspiration joining with the blood and tears they shed,
And angels they shall become.

The children were still weeping,
The mother was half dead.
Their father pounding on their flesh,
And angels they’ll become.

You could see he pain they had,
The tear trails down their faces.
The hopelessness they had to feel,
And angels they’ll become.

Their screams and shrills could be heard for miles,
Ringing in their ears.
The selfishness of human neighbors,
And angels they’ll become.

Their mother wouldn’t care at all,
Their father just a little.
The neighbors would be hurting,
And angels they’ll become.

The children were just waiting,
Hoping it would stop.
Wishing all the pain away,
And angels they’ll become.

The children stood their praying,
Waiting for it to stop.
Just as they were praying,
They saw the angels they’d become.

The moonlight shown down on them,
Glistening off their tears.
But the pain just kept on coming,
And angels they’ll become.

Their clothes were torn to rags,
And soaked with their blood.
The belt just kept on hitting them,
And angels they’ll become.

They could hear their heartbeats,
Echoing in their ears.
Coming together with the slashes,
And angels they’ll become.

Their father was still beating them,
Not knowing what he was doing.
The children would forgive him,
And angels they’ll become.

The screams were running together,
Their father didn’t care.
The neighbors were just there,
And angels they’ll become.

The scream and shrills they normally heard,
Always through the night.
They had just stopped,
And angels they had become.

The children had just given up,
They got sick of all the pain.
They had gone to heaven,
In angels they had become.

Their father was still hitting them,
Not knowing they were gone.
The thought never crossed his mind,
And angels they had become.

The neighbors had just sat there,
They knew that they were gone.
Some tears were running own their faces,
And angels they had become.

The police came by that minute,
Someone shared their pain.
There they were just lying,
With the angels they’d become.

The father went to jail that day,
With no chance of bail.
The mother was to drunk to care,
And angels they had become.

The funeral was held that day,
Everyone was there.
They could see their faces,
And angels they had become.

Some people were still wondering,
Some people stood in shock.
No one could remember why they didn’t call,
And angels they had become.

Their teachers knew about it,
They could see their pain.
They didn’t know why they ignored it,
And angels they had become.

They could all see their bruises,
Held out in the open.
The purples, blues, and green,
And angels they had become.

The children were both watching,
From the heavens they could see.
They saw all the weeping people,
And angels they had become.

Their hearts had went out to them,
They felt sorry for their dad.
He didn’t know what he did was wrong,
And angels they had become.

They wanted to see their mother,
They knew that see had died.
They looked and looked but she couldn’t be found,
And angels they had become.

The children knew that they had been hurt,
They had felt the pain.
They knew it wasn’t right for them,
And angels they had become.
