Time

People say that time heals all wounds
I have heard it a million times before
But what if you hurt beyond repair?
Time`s bandage not big enough to cover your sores

I have a history of living in the past
I don`t want things to change
I wanted our love to last
But now everything feels so strange

We talked of a life full of love and praise
Give me time I would always preach
But now time has stolen your loving gaze
And placed it away from my reach

I always knew deep down my love was a myth
That my promise would fall through
You were the one I wanted to die with
But time came along and ran away with you

People say that time heals all wounds
I will never believe that phrase again
Time took your heart away too soon
And left me with just a friend.
