Long Awaited Words

Sitting on the couch, we silently watch tv.
Yous arms wrapped around my waist,
Your head resting on my shoulder,
The rythmn of your breathing comforts me.

I lean into you, everything is picture perfect.
I wish for this moment to last forever.

As you whisper in my ear, I melt in your embrace.
The words I've been waiting to hear for so long
Finally escape your lips, a soft melody.
"I love you".
