My Mortal Words

by Jeremy Edmondson   Jan 30, 2006

Today in the separate worlds we live in there is no word or string of words that can act as a shuttle for travel between our souls.
My speech gives only a fraction of what my heart might yet his astuteness squanders my words.
My touch one of light, chasing the dark away, yet his astuteness throw shadow to even the brightest lights.
To whom do I owe this bloodshed to?
The conspirators have planed the termination of my earthly journey and so it will be
Alone now itâ??s only us now.
Charging in he places dagger one deep in my stomach stopping my wanting for you as food for I no longer need it.
She comes in with dagger two and hits my lungs taking my breath and stopping the need for you as breath.
Daggers fly hitting my brain stopping my thoughts of you a most wanted feeling just not in this approach.
Yet it was you who rapped my soul and hit my heart stooping its breathing for you in the mortal way for little do you know you just made it godly and unbeatable.
For in Caesarâ??s case you were my Brutus.
I only hope as a last wish I was to strong to die of daggers one through three.
Those were the most simple wounds.
It was the curse of heartbreak laden on your blade that finished me.
For now thanks to you I lay in my final bed a suitable box and a proud soul speaks.
â??Congregation, friends, and conspirators we are here to day to lie to rest a most lost soul.â??
â??I come not to speak of what he was, which was greatness, but return him to the earth.â??
â??The mistreatment done to a man is often done back to the doer in the end because the soul inflicted never forgets.â??
â??The good done to a soul is soon forgotten by the masses yet held in the heart of the man that has a heart no longer beating on a mortal level.â??
â??So shall it be with this man lying asleep in this most cramped confine that mimics how he spent his life.â??
â??You in you in your most noble form say he was not your fist true loveâ??
â??And if that is so he died a most horrible death because of the lie you let him live.â??
â??And you are in you noblest formâ??
â??After all, you are not cowards to commit such a horrible crime.â??
â??You all fear nothing in my eyes not even the judgment God has already written for your day.â??
â??And you all live in your most noble form.â??
â??You proclaim in such foolish tongue that he was not your first true love, yet you spent so much time convincing yourself he was.â??
â??Was he not your first true love?â??
â??You say no.â??
â??And you live in your most noble form.â??
â??He had bought you many things and showed you many new worlds which made your love show true even to the most ignorant.â??
â??Was he not your fist true love?â??
â??You say no.â??
â??And you live in your most noble form.â??
â??You and he made a bond, so impermeable and irreplaceable, on the stars and vowed many things with it in mind some in blood some in mind.â??
â??Love in my eyes has no higher bond!â??
â??Was he not your fist true love?â??
â??You say no.â??
â??And you live in your most noble form.â??
â??All have seen how you both killed each other a little bit everyday yet you both kept going.â??
â??All the bonds in mind and heart.â??
â??Was he not your fist true love?â??
â??You say no.â??
â??And sure you live in your most noble form.â??
â??I speak not to try and change your mind, the blood has left his body today you killed all of him, yet only to help you see for you are the most blind therefore mislead.â??
â??You did love him and with awesome cause!â??
â??The same cause that keeps you awake night after night replaying your last goodbye.â??
â??O, Lord God, what a strange and brutal beast has been made from such a beauty.â??
â??He did not die of wounds, yet of lost reason.â??
â??He lost her, therefore losing reason, therefore losing life.â??
â??I see now by the tears you shed, as you caused his blood, your heart lie in his box too.â??
â??And you can never wholly love again until he come back to thee.â??
