The ones I knew

What do they want... These people around?
I feel as if I've lost everything, everything I ever found
Life to them is living on Broadway
I'm happy here... In this peaceful little cottage I want to stay

Why is glamor all they see?
Why is it rich they all want to be?
What are their goals? What do they want to achieve?
I don't understand, it's far beyond my reach

I'm happy dreaming of heaven each night
I'm happy praying for the sun's morning light
Wishing for someone's love
I've happy believing in the god above

The pain of losing these people is not much
As I have noticed, they don't carry my healing touch
I watch them leave, slowly leave my side
No regret do I feel in my heart against this tide

Another change life has gifted me today
And living up to it is my only way
