Torn Between

by Rican Chemistry   Jan 30, 2006

How do I explain to you
That what I feel for you is real
That even though I say he's first
That love is no longer real

I don't get excited like before
When he calls I don't get butterflies
I only feel that chemistry
When you look into my eyes

Maybe because he is far
Or maybe because its been so long
But I have come to love you
Even though we don't belong

I am torn between what I want
And what I know is right
But I rather be wrong
Then never again hold you tight

I love you even though I belong to him
But I cant control our destinies
Maybe in another lifetime
We can change our life's stories

But for now we live in secret
Holding back my true feelings
Because I know that what I want
Can only be achieved by dreaming

Now I love you now more than him
I couldn't control my heart
And knowing that I have no choice
Tares my soul apart

For I want to be with you
Yet this wish cannot come true
Because you will never be mine
No matter how much I love you

You and I will never share
True happiness or love
For our time together is limited
The time that I keep thinking of

For every second in your arms
I love you even more
And every kiss that our lips share
Touches me to my very core

How can I say I love him
When I think of only you
How can I lie to everyone
Pretending to be true

I now know I love you
But there is nothing to be done
For when I lost my heart to you
It was meant to be for fun

Now I cant get it back
You locked it within your heart
My heart beats to your love's rhythm
Until the day you chose to part
