You spoke to soon

by Nil   Jan 30, 2006

I remember that day
The words seemed so harsh
It was in science class
He spoke without thinking

They needed a razor
To cut some cardboard
"Any cutters in the room"
you know you spoke to soon

What if i had raised my hand
And said yeah i have one to spare?
You would have looked with disgust
why i did it, you wouldn't care

I would be labeled again
branded for life
"suicidal" and "cutter"
Because of that knife

Instead i sunk low into my seat
Hoping no one would notice my blush creep
Onto my cheeks and onto my arms
No one can know of my scarred self harm

You're words hurt me
And you didn't even think
That there was an actually person
That made their skin bleed

In that room
at that time
when you easily said
that one line

"Any cutters in the room?"

Well...you spoke to soon...

Yeah. thats happened to me. i excused myself from the room and sat outside the door crying until the class was over. and the bad thing is the person that said it was my boyfriend. he didnt know what i was. he does now. and he regrets it. really badly.
