Just another sad story

So this is the start of another sad poem
And it goes a little like this
It's nothing great, it's nothing good
And it will never make a top rated list

It's about a girl who hates herself
Who hates the world around her
It's about a lie that living a life
And what a boy and this girl once were

They were in love
A love so full of lies
But it still was love
No matter how much you cry

And eventually things ended
It was really hard for the girl
The boy never understood
That he had meant the world

He said she deserved better
As he broke her heart into a thousand pieces
How painful and ironic this all felt
She didn't ever want to feel this

She didn't look back
As she ran, fast and far from it all
The tears wouldn't stop
How painful it was too fall

She watched it all in her mind
What she would do if she had the guts
She would end it all
She would end the never ending lust

She would stop at the train tracks
She would look at the flashing lights
She wouldn't want to do it
But she would end this fight

She awoke from her trance
Knowing what she had to do
She tried calling the boys number one last time
Just for one last I love you

There was no answer
So she walked to the kitchen
She picked up a knife
And mumbled I miss him

She cut and cut and cut
But she couldn't get deep enough
The blood was still running
Why has everything gotten so rough?

Her body may still walk
But her soul died that day
All that would have saved her
Were three words he could say

And how do I know this all?
How do I know how the story goes?
Well I am the girl
...Now just a wandering ghost
