Little red bear

I found a little red bear today
he was packed away
with a bunch of different things
I took him out
and put him on top
of my radio were he could
look out over the room
like he was watching over me
my guardian angel
making sure no harm
comes my way
when its time for bed
I look at this little red bear
and say a prayer

please bring him closer
let me hear his sweet voice
let me see his face
let me see him in the flesh
little red bear
please bring him closer

then I crawl into bed
and have a dream
I hear your voice
I see your face
but it's all pretend
so I get up and get ready
for the day
just wishing hoping and thinking
about some day
seeing you again
