Set love straight.

Does anyone really know?
What love truly is.
To take it slow?
Or just go on.

Is to live.
Truly to love?
And to forgive.
Like the lord above.

Could it be.
That love is so great.
For all of us, even me?
That it actually decides our fate.

What if love is really the reason.
The true reason we are alive.
Commiting awful treason.
Just to make our love survive.

Love has made an impact.
On the preasant, and the past.
Keeping society intact.
And making others no longer last.
=========================
St. Valentine lost his life.
As did millions more.
For this thing called love.
That everyone seems to adore.
=========================
But can anyone tell me.
What makes love so great.
Does anyone actually agree.
And can set this question straight.
