Forever and Ever

by The Wingless   Feb 2, 2006

Birds, moving with the wind,
Wings flapping, carefree,
I would like to know.

Are all people,
Concealing sadness
Behind their smiles?
Or Is it just me?

But what if a heart,
Had a lovely pair of wings,
Even at unease,
We would still be dreaming.

As I look up,
At the star,
in an unending sky,
With such gentleness,
It invites love.

But then the day comes,
And the star becomes faint,
Flowers blown away,
Tears wiped,
Now become the morning dew,

one day,
Will the painful memories,
all fade away?
Or am I am waiting for nothing?

I know,
Nothing about courage,
The amount needed to start,
Start a journey but.

The color that jumps,
Around in your eyes,
Are what I prayed for,
Eternal happiness,
Forever and ever.

But I look again,
The color's gone,
I see the real,
What's really dark,
Is the light.

Forever and ever.
