Just A Dream

by Lisa   Feb 2, 2006

You say we need more diapers
And that we're all out
Then in the back room
I hear a little shout

It's our own daughter
And she needs to be fed
You take her out the crib
And lay her on our bed

You tell her you love her
And give her a kiss
I soon realize
I am no longer a Miss

I look down at my finger
And see a beautiful ring
And to out daughter in the other
I hear you start to sing

I realize we're married
And together are spending our lives
It's what I always wanted
For me to become your wife

With our daughter
I spend another day
And at some point "daddy"
Is what I hear her say

You're so happy
When I tell you this
You give us both kisses
And say we're the ones you missed

I prepare dinner for you
Later on that night
We eat together
Over the candle light

"I want another child"
Is what you whisper in my ear
Then down my face
Drips a little tear

We have our own family
Well that's what it seems
But then I open my eyes
And realize it was just a dream
