Five Parts Love, One Part Poem

by Liam   Feb 2, 2006

A virgin white blanket wraps the baby
New eyes slowly open
Glistening innocently in the light
Love is virgin white
Innocent and unknown.

Hands cannot touch Love
It occupies no space but
Love touch is soft embrace
Whose hands delicately caress the Heart

Our first date is filled with sweet whispers
And after the second we spend hours on the phone
With closed eyes we listen but dont speak a word
Loves language is silent
But its words dance off the tongue
then tickle past the ears to the Heart

As we kiss with eyes closed
Loves smell is warm
A dash of damp recently used air
expelled from Your nose

Love reaches into the eyes and rips out tears
Down the cheek and over the lips
the tears slide into the mouth
Loves taste is salty wet
And makes you thirst for more
