Screaming

by Nearly but not quite   Feb 2, 2006

I'll scream for all the world
But no one ever listens,
I'd scream until I hurled,
But the river only glistens.

There's nobody to hear me
They've all gone away.
None of them can see
That this is my last day.

I wish I could just die
Just die and go to hell.
I can't, I ask you why not? Why!
But it's never as easy as a funeral bell.

So when my heart decides to die
Will the mourners ask me why?
They'll get no reply
From my grave side.
