An angel

by A loves regret   Feb 2, 2006

For sixteen years I thought the most beautiful girl was a movie star,
That was until I saw you, now I realize that's not true,
Now it doesn't matter how many surgeons there are, or make-up they use,
Nothing they can pay for will make them as beautiful as you,

Every smile I used to see, all looked the same to me,
But now I saw yours, and yours is so perfect, and unique,
Just a simple glimpse of your smile, was the best thing to see,
And the moment I saw it, I lost every word to speak,

I never thought I would hear a voice that could make me freeze,
Or make all my thoughts in my head simply disappear,
There's a tone in your voice, that is so elegant, and beautiful,
and is so soothing, relaxing, and beautiful to hear,

When I look at you, I don't see a person, but an angel,
Walking on this earth, to make everyone happy,
A beautiful, graceful, and unique angel on earth,
That has blessed this life, and brought joy to me.

This is a really sweet poem. I liked the contrast between this girl and movie stars, it shows how most people want to be these days and how unique others who don't want to be that way are. Good poem over all.
