You And Her

Looking in the mirror,
finally telling yourself you're beautiful.
Big accomplishment,
since she tore you down.
Smiling at yourself,
posing in funny ways.
Learning that your beauty is on the inside,
and outside.
Learning jealous doesn't solve a thing,
understanding that she did everything to you.
She tried to make herself feel better about the way she looked,
yet you were always the more beautiful,
and sweeter one.
Having knowledge about the world's cruel people,
way before you time.
Knowing you wouldn't trade all the personalities in the world,
for the one you have,
Which is being yourself,
and knowing no matter what anyone says your opinion is the only one that matters.
Always being told you were looking for the easy way out,
but you were really looking for the solution to the problem.
Knowing your life really is meaningful to put someone in their place,
stopping them from thinking everyone screwed up their life,
when it was really their fault.
Looking death in the eyes with a smile,
knowing that the time might come and it might not.
Watching everything change around you,
yet you are still the same.
Seeing the devil inside of her,
then seeing all your anger become her worst nightmare.
Seeing that you were put on this earth to teach her the biggest lesson in life,
lying gets you nowhere.
Stretching the truth from day one,
didn't help her.
You are fighting your demons at a young age,
knowing this is a fight your demons are going to lose.
Scared,
yet calm.
Smiles every step of the day,
watching her try to tear you down more.
Laughing at her,
knowing she can't hurt you ever again.
