Never Fall in Love

Part I:
Never fall in love.
That's a vow I've made to me.
One that won't be broken.
One that won't set me free.

I've seen too many examples.
I have been forewarned.
If I came too close,
I'd be fiercely scorned.

I won't forever keep this promise.
I can already see.
That beautiful boy across the room
just looks too good to me.

Part II
Never fall in love.
That's advice you should take
from someone like me
who's had her share of heartbreak.

His face had the perfect shape.
His eyes were crystal clear.
I was hypnotized by them.
I wasn't all here.

He just ended up hurting me.
I've never been the same.
I can't forget the feelings.
I WANT to forget his name.

I hate how I still love him.
How he really left his mark.
How I can't get him back.
How he created a fake spark.

Never fall in love,
or you'll be sorry too,
because another just like him
is coming after you.
