Shall I...[shakespearian sonnet]

by Clonjey   Feb 2, 2006

"Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?"
Does a summer's day describe your fineness?
No, for at night the beauty goes away.
While your beauty however is timeless.

"Sometimes too hot the eye of heaven shines."
Your burning beauty to me though is bliss.
You are so hot my temperature climbs.
Only to be cooled by your soothing kiss.

"By thy eternal summer shall not fade."
Constantly you're keeping me warm inside.
Now when without you all I feel is shade.
There's a new name I wish for you...It's bride.

"So long men can breathe or eyes can see,"
I will love you, so will you marry me?
