No! she cried on her bed,
Crying about the things that were said,
The painful words pounding in her head,
Her blanket stained as her wrists bled.
Why? she sobbed into the night,
Her heart pounding with new fright,
As she wished to just take flight,
To that holy place at such a height.
Please... she whispered breathlessly,
No one able to hear her silent plea,
And she slowly counted to three,
As she jumped out from that tree.
A rope tied around her gentle neck,
The knot tied in such a wreck,
How high she was she did not check,
She only new under her was the deck.
Her only thoughts placed on him,
Her thoughts all so very grim,
As she landed she broke her limb,
And her head began to swim.
What had she done wrong?
Was the rope too long?
Maybe her neck was just too strong,
Her head began to pound like a gong,
Her body shook as she began to cry,
â??Please!â?? she asked, â??tell me why!
â??Why did he leave into the sky?
â??Why did my love have to die?â??
She sobbed until she cried no more,
As she laid on that earthen floor,
She walked over to her door,
Always wishing she could soar.
She sighed and laid down,
In her wedding gown,
Watching her upside down photo frown,
Blasting music so she could drown.
He had died on their wedding day,
Leaving her to only pray,
To God she prayed that she may,
See him soon in any way.
And so she passed without a sound,
A hand falling to the ground,
On her bed she was found,
To her lover, forever bound.
