Waiting

by Anthony   Feb 3, 2006

Sitting heartbroken here outside,
The wind blows cold tonight.
Wet from the pouring rain,
It's icey and it numbs the pain.
The aches in my head and heart,
I hope they don't tear her apart.
We've had so many problems,
We stop this so we can solve them.
I know I'll kiss those lips, wrap my arms around you again,
But the wait will be long, and I'm depressed to not know when.
I wish I was closer home,
Maybe then I wouldn't feel so abandoned and alone.
If she reads this don't let her cry,
Just remind her of when things were fine.
Let my cold keep her warm,
And mend her heart so we're both not torn.
One day we won't fight,
You and I will be a perfect sight.
We'll kiss and hold each other together again,
It'll be just like how things had once been.
Just please don't forget me...don't forget I'll be waiting.
