One Single Being

by Emma   Feb 3, 2006

That one being
You don't want to come.
It's due in a matter of days.
Two plus one

Not much is going to change.
Is all they say.
You don't know that.
He'll come.
And you'll go away

I'm mad at him
I can't stand her
Soon. Given time
I'll be alone again
With just the rhyme

It's the usual jealousy
Not wanting to be replaced
But already I'm being pushed away
Into another space

It's happened once already
Nothing remained steady
Suddenly there was less time
Again
For that
I'm not ready

Everyone's so excited
They don't care how I feel
It doesn't matter though
THEY'RE so happy
THEY all want to squeal
