My friends are great and I love them a lot
Although, theyve never filled that one special spot

A best friend is someone who always believes in you

They never judge you or want to criticize
They have a soft and caring look in their eyes
Theyre encouraging and always there
They lend an ear and dont just pretend to care
They know when somethings wrong and no one else does
You talk for hours on the phone and never feel alone
You do everything together
Friendship can withstand any type of weather
Ive heard all of this again and again
But I havent found that one best friend
Ive never really looked, but ive also never found
One thing ive realized is that you cant wait around
A lot of people are shy and you never know
If you say hi or smile at someone where it might go
Friendship is a sweet responsibility, never an opportunity
If you wait around, It may seem like an eternity
Now I know what its like to have a best friend
We'll always be there for each other, until the end
Anyone Ive ever asked about friendship
Has always told me, that it was a blessing
And I should hold on to it

I never really understood this much
But tried my hardest to feel what everyone else did
Its a rare thing to find someone who you can love and trust
