Living On

The gap between the day and the night,
the valley between the shadow and light.
I walk them both in silent pain,
Solitude flows as blood through my veins.
Sentinel of the sunrise,
guardian of the night skies.
I seek the answers to my past,
I seek to make the present last.
I wish to say with my new friends,
Yet I feel my time soon ends.
If the day comes for this body to fall,
I will leave behind my soulless doll.
And though I try with human might,
Someday I will finally loose my fight.
I will go to the world that only the dead see,
But I will live on inside your memory.

This is a poem my friend gave me, and I kind of added to it/changed it and now it is my own.
