Tales of A Broken Soul

by SmileeItsBritt   Feb 4, 2006

Let's make up a story
We can play a game of pretend
Let me tell you this tale
Do you have an ear to lend?
Let's pretend that I'm not b.r.o.k.e.n
Just act like this smile's real
Just play along for now
And pretend my wounds will heal
If you close your eyes for a second
You could pretend not to see the scars
You could act like there's some hope
And make a wish on a shooting star ---->
If you'd like you can imagine
That everything will be okay
But if you wake up to see reality
You'll see if can never be that way
So I hope you enjoyed the story
Of a tale never to come true
So accept this tragic ending
And don't cry when life is through

Thoroughly enjoyed reading ... deep, yet light.

Great piece, very well written, though the last line lets is down somewhat.. I think it may be too long or something, not sure. The rest is brilliant. I especially like the arrow you have drawn on where you say “shooting star” it’s a nice addition to the text. The content is well expressed and pretty powerfully composed with some good ideas and strong feelings.
