You Weren't There

~This Is To A Friend That Doesn't Know It's To Them, But It Is Because They Said They Would Be Around~

You said,"If I needed to talk you would be there."
Yet, you weren't.
I understand you have a life,
but what happens when I need you to be there, my friend?
When it seems like my life is coming to an end.
What would you do if you lost someone dear to you?
Soon enough it will be me, my friend.
You said,"I'm glad you are eating."
What if that stops?
Because when I needed a friend,
you weren't there.
When I needed a kind word of encouragement,
you weren't there.
Now that I am depressed,
and bleeding to death.
Will you be there?
