No Such Thing As Forever

by SMILEoften   Feb 4, 2006

She leaned on him
when she felt down.
when she had a bad day
he turned it around.

he held her hand
through thick and thin.
he didn't pay attention
to his feelings within.
He knew she was confused
but he didn't want to leave
because he wanted to be there
and promised to never decieve.

She told him how she loved him
but one day he just had to let go
she nodded patiently
and didn't let anything show.

she ran home crying
tripping over her shoe lace
"how could he leave me?"
mascara running down her face.

she took the pills
from the bathroom mirror
then she swallowed one
it all became clear.

she didn't want to be here
she had to go away
he'd promised her forever
but then decided not to stay.

it's living without him
either way, I'll be depressed.
so she closed her eyes
and was finally at rest.

[Definetly NOT my best work. but thanks for reading.]
