FREE AT LAST

by Sagini Ok   Feb 4, 2006

Daily we strive for life and liberty
Pursuing happiness, we die in poverty
Death claims us, with the guilt of wrongdoing
As hatred and injustice in our hearts brooding
Though we sweat in heat of oppression and injustice,
We wait for the day, ruling, will be freedom and justice

Drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred
Our souls long for refreshment thus sacred
We struggle without dignity and discipline
My heart is hurt as I am pierced by injustice! Javelin
Though we sweat in heat of oppression and injustice,
We wait for the day, ruling, will be freedom and justice

My destiny is tied with your destiny
Our thirst for freedom is under scrutiny
As we know, our fight has never been physical
Our fight is a fight with the force of the soul
Though we sweat in heat of oppression and injustice,
We wait for the day, ruling, will be freedom and justice

My dream has been for man to live out he true meaning of life
When every man will be equal to understand the value of life
Feeling protected and happy as we drink the air of brotherhood
When every man, will be judged with the content of character understood
Though we sweat in heat of oppression and injustice,
We wait for the day, ruling, will be freedom and justice

Yea, this is the dream I have always dreamed
A living that no one can feel blamed
When injustice is transformed into justice
When death and calamities are over and peace is in practice
Though we sweat in heat of oppression and injustice,
We wait for the day, ruling, will be freedom and justice.
