Alcofrolick

by Chris Harding   Feb 4, 2006

I just couldnt bare to watch
To see my brothers in pain
Shoulder to shoulder we stand
As black clouds bring pouring rain

A distant cry for help
From a stranger
Who will become family
Amongst strong friends
Who will provide safety

How can we live in fear
Of those that pose no threat
Until the day you least expect
To run a gang of youths
All pissed up on beer
Dont waste your time
Trying to explain away
The insults you never said
A cruel injustice
As you lay bleeding
In the pouring rain
That black clouds bring

Cowards hidden in shadows
Step out to save a dying man
Like the good samaritan
That came too late

A distant cry for help
From a stranger
Who will become family
Amongst caring friends
Who will protect him

From the constant urban nightmare

BINGE DRINKER
WIFE BEATER
SOCIAL CORRUPTER

You dont have a clue
What alcohol does to you
Early morning sickness
And a bastard hangover
Complete ignorance
Of the night just gone
No memory, vauge recollection
Why am I cut and bruised?
Whos blood is on my shirt?
What have I done?
Youll never drink again
Thats way they all say
Because its all questions and no answers
As alcohols left its scar on you
