Another day here
I sit as the world spins by
In words of ink
Blurred truths and half lies
Designed to mislead
To brainwash those without an open mind
As they fail to realise too late
That their bias can harm all our lives
A free press in the interests of democratic principle
Thats commercial greed and constant political intervention
Only serves to undermine
The purpose that set their pens free
Now boastful of the power of their ink
As the sword falls before the words of the mighty
Free prizes and TV guides
Special offers and another story
Of a celebraties drugged up demise
Are these the shallow temptations that lure us in?
To know, to read, to quench the constant thirst of curiosty
But the price we pay is the respect of our privacy
Because one day, that tradgedy people read about might well be ours
And the suffering we laughed about in private
Will haunt us as our lives become a joke in public
For one wrong step, into the glare of the evil eye
Of this worlds free press
That hide their deciet behind subtle lies
