Black Rain

by Beka   Feb 4, 2006

When the blackest stars emerge
each puddle disturbed
like my thoughts
this black rain makes others run
I lift my face to the heavens
the night rain fills me
blanketing the numbness
so the pain isn't as fresh
the voices from the house
beg me:
"come inside,
you'll catch your death"
but I just spin, the darkness surrounding me
the rain washing away my sins
along with the blood flowing
from my newest scars
I am one with the world
one with the earth
one with the blackest forces
that only emerge
in my night rain
my black rain
my home
where only I am whole
