Graduation Day

by *fading*away*   Feb 5, 2006

Today is Graduation Day
And we are going on our own way
We’ll probably never meet again
Maybe in vain
There are a lot of maybes
But now the hall is filled with Goodbyes
And some are crying their eyes out
At least that’s what I figured out
Cause people all around me don’t seem to care
They are all going in pairs
I thought maybe good ol’ Bert would cry
But as weird as it was, he’s just going around asking why
(I don’t think he got the date right
He doesn’t probably know tonight is the last night
He’ll set his eyes on this school)
The weird and the cool
Don’t care to look at each other
Who wants to bother?
School is out
And so we’d better go out
I can’t believe this is true
I mean, isn’t the banner a cue
That this is the last day we’ll see each other
I guess I just won’t bother
They’ll figure it all out one fine day in May
But I’ve already figured it out, pray
I hope they will too before it’s all too late

PS I posted the wrong poem before! Sorry for the mistake!
