Does She?

by Matt Fleckney   Feb 5, 2006

I sit and I wonder,
Does she remember me?
While she is out tonight with her friends,
Does she remember that we are together?
Or will she find someone better,
Lord knows there are many.
Will she find one of the many
Who would be better for her than me?

I pray to god, that she still feels,
Still feels the same way about me as before.
And I think that she does,
But I can’t help but wonder,
With the alcohol coursing through her body,
Will she temporarily forget that I love her?
Will she, for one moment, make a mistake?
Would it even be a mistake?

Maybe it would be best for her.
But I love her too damn much.
I don’t want to let her go,
But am I keeping her sheltered
From better things?
Does she still
Even enjoy the time
That we spend together?
Does she still love me?

This is a heartfelt poem and never doubt that you are excatly what she wants. If you weren't she wouldn't have chosen to be with you. Remember that out of everyone in the world she chose YOU! ^_^ Trust her and believe in yourself, not only do you seem a great guy you're a talented poet :)

Wondering these questions will eat at you and eat at you...if for some reason she allows herself to be part of someone else she really wasn't yours to begin with. Trust in your relationship - if you don't have trust...you don't have anything at all. I love the way you wrote this. Your concerns were clearly heard and your love for her was absolutely understood...nicely done.

I read your profile...if writing is something you have passion for, you should NEVER stop.

Matt... Don't ponder on these questions. I remember thinking these questions, I believe me it will just torment you more than it is worth!! A beautifully written poem, your worry is clearly defined!!
