Lifes Mistakes

by Casey   Feb 5, 2006

Long nights,
Cold days,

Foggy windows,
Distant Haze

Children Laughing in the breeze,
Living life with relative ease.

In my heart,
Loathing Ballads,

In my mind,
words invalid.

Listening to sobs of pain,
walking back wards pulsing veins.

I walk onto the stage of black,
Take a deep breath,
and straighten my back,

Recite the words
to say to you,

just as though my poem is through,
Tears of hurt
run down my face,

he could never
take your place

The poem for you,
that i recite

Floats away
Into the night

Break my heart
and let me be,

I will set
My spirit free.

Learn to love,
and deal with heartbreak

Another one of
Life's Mistakes

Your poem sounds like what I go through with girls they seem good to you then they leave you with nothing but old sad memories. I liked that you stuck to one vision and eventually your title came out in the poem. Nice, keep writing.
