Whats On My Mind

You want to know
What is on my mind

Then let me lay it down
For you line by line

Death to sweet a dream to reach
How I wish the end will come to me

Hope to cruel to have
Despair is all I got

Misery of my tormenting past
Follows me as my shadow

Reminding me of the hell
That awaits during the day

Alone in the dark I sit
And like a child I cry
Waiting for my fears subside

I want to run and hide
My pride making me lie

Wearing a mask to lock away
The depression I have inside

So happiness is what I showcase
Facing the world with a smile

And all the while I die a little
Each and every night

My dreams are filled with fright
Of hate filled days gone by

So I fight my sleep and drink
And think of a better life

Because without that I will die
And thats whats on my mind.
