Beautiful poem. So sad, yet so true. Ahh, perfection..something we try so hard to grasp, yet are never happy when we seem to have it. You expressed the hunger pain beautifully, and the excuses about a big breakfast are known all too well. Lovely work. I'm a big fan, though I really don't know why I've never commented before! Silly me..hehe. Good job hun, keep up the brilliant rhyme scheme and the flow that you always seem to master!

What a sad poem...and sadder yet the commentary on a society that pushes people to do this. Beautifully put.

That is so sad and so true of many today who starve themselves on purpose, at the expense of being healthy.

Tough subject...gr8 poem!!! It gives us all an insight into what it's like for all those thousands of young girls (and boys) who are suffering day-to-day with the realities of an eating disorder. The poem was brilliant!!!
