Have you seen the scars on my skin
have you noticed where the blade has been,
did you know about this self-centered sin?
i have done it since i was 10

i wanted just to take my life
who needed me?
i liked my knife
all along i could not see

where did they go
all of the people
whoes normal skin is all they show

no scars,
no marks,
no worthless dreams,
only stars
and cars
are what can be seen

have you seen them?
where did they go?
where could they be,
i feel so low

all alone one lonely day
i will set out for another way
these scars and marks will always stay,
they will remind me that once i thought i was not ok
