Death is not the lonely ache
Why mourn and live in sorrow
When they will breathe inside of your heart
Now, then and tomorrow
Just because they are not physical
Doesn't mean they are not here
Maybe they're not visiting much
[Working on their career?]
If a friend moved across the world
You would not consider them dead
They still exist in your heart and soul
Their sweet scent inside your bed
Refer to them as being not been
They weren't beautiful, they still are
Don't wish to join their restful peace
The distance is nearer than it is far
Memories of an infectious laugh
Warmed by their sweetest smile
Comforted as you reach for their arms
As you sit and cry awhile
But wipe those tears, for they're not gone
You shall never be apart
So what if the laugh fades and the touch is gone
They are alive inside your heart.
