you are closer to me then family

its so hard
to tell you these things
especially in person
i was always scared to let you know
that i cared about you like family
i use to get those feelings
with all the little butterflies
just flapping around inside
but then it hit that reaching point
that i realized you are family
and nothing back could come of it
and so i write this
with tear stained eyes
and pretend like ill get over the fact
that you just left...
but at least you said goodbye
i don't know what i would have become without you
you are my rock
my life line
so again i say. i write this with tears
tears of happiness
but then again
tears of sadness
just thinking about the years that'll go by
and the laughter that i wont hear from you
