She is the one, but she is not mine

by mike reynolds   Feb 6, 2006

I confessed my love, but I was too late.
She found another. Oh why did I hesitate?

She is the world to me,
Her and her two babies.

She is the rest of me,
She is my lady

I want them all so bad.
I want the dream I may never have.

I try to go out on dates with others,
To try to go on and separate.

But when I look at anyone else,
All I see is her.

Not many people can say.
That they have someone,
which can make them feel that way.

But now that I have.
How can I stop and just walk away.
And never wish for her that day.

In the morning when I awake.
And the first thing I do,
Is say hi to her.
And tell her I want you.

Of course, the words are only heard by me, she is so far away.
But don’t change the fact. I long for her love someday.

I see her at work. And walk by a hundred times.
Just so I can catch the glimmer of her beauty.
And maybe catch that pretty smile

It is hard to know. That I can not show her how I feel.
Make my love shine, and let her know it is real.

But to just forget and move on,
Just don’t seem like the right thing to do.
She is my passion, my dreams,
So what am I too do
