Icy Chills

by Raych   Feb 7, 2006

The night is dark
The wind is cold
She walks on the ice
Alone, with no hand to hold

She walks down to the frozen lake
The wind blowing in her hair
There's no one around,
No one to care

The one she loved
The one she thought cared
Turned out to be someone
That didn't care when she was scared

Her life was breaking
In front of her eyes
There was nothing left anymore
Nothing, but lies

She didn't understand
Why she was always treated like this
Never been loved
Never been missed

As she steps on the lake
She hears her name
She looks around
But everything's still the same

Then out of the darkness
She sees someone running towards her
Then she turns around
Everything's a blur

"Please stop!"
He shouted in the air
"I have always loved you,
And I have always cared"

"You cannot be serious,
For so many lies you've told
I wont fall for this trick again,
Your heart is nothing but cold"

She turned back towards the lake
While he continued to scream in pain
"Just wait and ill be there, he said
I'd wait for you in the pouring rain"

She gave him one last glance
Then turned to him with a smile
This is what she was always waiting for
Every second all the while

But as she began to run
The ice began to shatter
She grabbed onto his hand
But to her, that's all that mattered

As she started to slip into the water
She kept screaming his name
"I'm so sorry about everything, she whispered,
But I'm just so glad you came"

"Don't let go!, He screamed
As she began to fall
"Don't worry about me, she whispered
I love you, that is all..."

And with those last few words
She slipped down under the ice
"No!, He finally screamed
I guess I have to pay the price..."

And there he silently stayed
Until he finally passed away
But before that he quietly mumbled
"..I have always loved you...and will to this day..."
